AI Development & Implementation

End-to-end build of the AI capability you have already decided on.

Three to nine months from scoping to a system running in your operations. Integrations to the platforms you already pay for, a custom interface for the people who will use it daily, and the monitoring needed to run the result responsibly after we leave.

End-to-end build · Owned outright
Overview

The full build, scoped once and delivered on a named date.

AI Development & Implementation is the offer for when the decision is settled and the question is execution. The capability has been agreed, the rough economics make sense, and the next twelve months ride on whether the system actually lands in operations and gets used. We scope it once, quote it once, and ship it.

The build covers everything between the model and the user , integrations to the systems you already run, a custom interface designed for the team that will live with it, and the monitoring needed to operate the result after we leave. Two-week iterations throughout. Source code, infrastructure, and documentation are yours on the delivery date.

What you get

Three things that ship on the named delivery date.

Owned outright by you. No licence, no perpetual access fee, no preferred-maintenance clause buried in the contract.

01

Running system in operations

The full capability deployed into your environment and integrated with the systems your team already uses every day. Custom interface, sensible defaults, and the workflow patterns you defined during scoping baked in from day one.

02

Operating playbook and monitoring

Dashboards, alerts, evaluation harnesses, and the written runbooks your team or operations partner will use to keep the system honest after we leave. Built throughout the engagement, not assembled in the final week.

03

Source, infrastructure, documentation

Everything we wrote, configured, or provisioned transferred to you on delivery. You can extend it, hand it to another partner, or rebuild parts of it without our permission and without paying us another dollar.

When this fits

Four signs an Implementation engagement is the right shape.

The decision is made

The capability has been chosen and the economics broadly accepted. You are not asking us to help you decide whether to build, that is the job of an Advise engagement, but how to build it well, integrate it cleanly, and roll it out without breaking the operations that already work.

It touches real operations

The system needs to integrate with the platforms your team already runs on and end up in front of the people doing the day-to-day work. This is not a standalone experiment in a sandbox, it is a build that has to land cleanly inside an organisation that cannot pause while it does.

You can absorb a quarter of focused build

There is appetite in the organisation for a three- to nine-month engagement with weekly engagement points, a clear executive sponsor, and the operational owner identified before we start. Implementations that lack a named owner stall in the final fortnight regardless of how clean the build itself is.

You want to own what gets built

Ownership of the source, the infrastructure, and the operating knowledge sits with you on delivery, by design. If you would rather rent a vendor product than own a custom system, the honest recommendation is often to do exactly that, and we will say so on the first call rather than build the wrong thing.

Why us

Three reasons our implementations land in operations and stay there.

A

Scope locked, risk absorbed

The price is fixed before any build work starts. If we mis-estimate inside the original scope, we absorb the cost, not you. New scope is always quoted as a separate line item so you can see exactly what you are agreeing to and what you are not.

B

Built for the people who use it

The custom interface is designed against interviews with the operators who will actually use the system, not against a slide describing them. The integrations are scoped against the systems they already work in, not against the ones an architecture diagram pretends they use.

C

Operable after we leave

We design the monitoring, runbooks, and evaluation harnesses in parallel with the build, not afterwards. The aim is a system that a competent operations team, yours or a partner's, can keep honest without calling us back every time a model drifts.

How it runs

Four steps from scoping engagement to clean transfer.

Two-week iterations from the moment the build is signed.

Scoping engagement

Two to four weeks at a fixed price to document requirements, sketch the architecture, identify integrations, and quote the full build. The scoping engagement is the only contractual commitment until the build itself is signed; if the quote does not fit, the relationship ends cleanly there.

Build in two-week iterations

Once the build is signed, work runs in two-week iterations with a working demo at the end of each one. You see real progress against real systems on a fixed cadence, and feedback from one iteration steers the priorities inside the next without renegotiating the contract.

Integrate and pilot

As the system stabilises we integrate it into the operational systems your team already uses and pilot it with the people who will actually rely on it. Monitoring, error handling, and the support runbooks are built in this phase, not bolted on after launch.

Hand-off and follow-up

On the named delivery date the source code, infrastructure, and documentation are transferred to your team. A follow-up check is scheduled six to twelve weeks later to catch the issues that only surface under steady-state use. After that, the engagement is closed.

Common questions

Frequently asked questions about AI Development & Implementation.

What happens if mid-build we realise the scope was wrong?

We pause and have an honest conversation. If a piece of the original scope is unbuildable or no longer wanted, we drop it and reduce the price. If something new needs to be added we re-quote it as a separate line item with its own fixed price and delivery date. The original scope stays at its original price either way.

Do you operate the system after it launches?

Not as a default. The system is built to be operated by your team or by an operations partner you already use, with the runbooks and monitoring needed to do that responsibly. If you genuinely have no operating capability at all, we will say so on the first call and either help you stand one up or recommend a partner before the build starts.

What model providers and infrastructure do you build on?

Whichever fits the workload, OpenAI, Anthropic, open-weight models on managed infrastructure, or a mix. We name the providers and the projected spend in the scoping document so the operating economics are visible before the build is signed. Switching providers later is built into the architecture by default.

How do you handle model behaviour changes after delivery?

We architect for it, evaluation harnesses, prompt versioning, and clear fallback behaviour are built in from the start so your team can detect regressions and respond. We are not on the hook to patch the system whenever a provider updates a model, but we leave you the tools to do that yourselves without a fresh engagement.

Can you start without a Proof of Concept first?

Sometimes. If the unknowns are well-understood from prior work, yours, ours, or the wider industry, we go straight into scoping. If the build hinges on an unanswered question about data, model behaviour, or user acceptance, we will recommend a Proof of Concept first rather than absorbing that risk inside a fixed-price implementation.

Ready to put a capability into operations on a named date?

Bring the decision to a free first call. If the build is the right size and shape we will scope and quote it. If it is not, we will say so and point you at the engagement that fits better.
