The roadmap is already decided

You are not asking us what to build. The strategy work has been done, the priorities are agreed, and the next two quarters of the roadmap are concrete enough to scope against. A block accelerates execution against a known plan; it is the wrong vehicle for figuring out what the plan should be.

You have an in-house team

There are engineers on staff who will own the work after the block ends. They may not yet have the AI specialism or the spare capacity, but the institutional home for what we build is clearly identified. Without that, the transfer at the end of the block has nowhere to land and the offer breaks.

Hiring ahead feels premature

On a free first call you walk us through the roadmap and the gap. We ask which milestones are non-negotiable, where the in-house team is already loaded, and what the next two quarters need to look like for the block to count as a success.

Block scope and quote

Over one to two weeks we propose the team composition, the milestones the block will hit, and the fixed price. The quote names the engineers and the delivery lead by role, not by hour. You sign once and the block starts.

Embedded delivery

Our team joins your standups, your repo, and your tooling. We deliver in two-week iterations with a working demo at the end of each. Your delivery lead and ours share the same backlog so priorities can shift inside the block without renegotiation.

Transfer and decide

Two weeks before the block ends we walk your team through every system we have built and every decision we have made. You then decide whether to renew the block, take ownership outright, or hand specific work back to your team. No default extension.

Is this body-shopping by another name?

No. Body-shopping prices people by the hour and bills for seats. We price the team against the work the block is supposed to ship, at a fixed amount, with named milestones. If we deliver early the savings stay with you. If we are short on a milestone we cover the difference, not you.

Can we extend mid-block if priorities change?

Inside the block, priorities can move freely against the same backlog without a re-quote. Extending the block itself, adding weeks or people, is a written renewal at a fresh fixed price. We do not auto-roll, and we will not start the next block until the current one has been signed off.

What roles are typically in the team?

Usually a delivery lead embedded on your side, two engineers with relevant AI and integration experience, and a part-time AI specialist for the model-facing work. The exact mix depends on the roadmap, we name the roles in the quote rather than padding the team with people you do not need.

Do you replace our in-house engineers?

We do not. The premise of the offer is that you have an in-house team and a gap, not an absence. If your situation is that you do not yet have any AI engineers in-house, we will say so on the first call and point you at AI Development & Implementation or at a hiring partner instead.

What happens to the code at the end of the block?

Everything we write is yours from day one. There is no licence, no escrow, no preferred-maintenance clause. When the block ends you can keep us, keep the code and walk, or hand it to another team, whichever serves the roadmap best.
